Hi, I’m Kathryn.
Your wedding day is sure to be one of the most significant days in your life, and I am here to ease the stresses, save you time, navigate the logistics, bounce your ideas off and, most importantly, ensure the process is as enjoyable as possible.
I am here for you throughout this process; whether you need me from the start or midway through your planning process or even if you just need some final on the day support. It is my job to bring your vision to life and to wind your love story into your day!
With my conscientious planning style and my flare for design and creativity, and my industry relationships we are sure to deliver your dream day together.
Your wedding day
Kathryn Scarlett Weddings combines an eye for detail and flair for logistics in order to create truly memorable events for my clients and their guests.
My wedding planning style is professional yet grounded with a great understanding of people and ability to mix your personalities, tastes and styles together and transforming this into a thoughtfully designed, personal wedding for you both. It is my role to truly ‘get’ you as a couple and to use my expertise, relationships and meticulous planning skills to design and deliver your perfect day.
The little things matter; that is a mantra of mine. By working with me during this exciting time of your lives I will encompass your ideas and memories into the day and will then ensure all runs smoothly on the day. Here at Kathryn Scarlett Weddings we specialise in creating classic weddings with a beautiful modern twist.
A wedding is possibly one of the biggest milestones of one’s life, and I am here to ensure you have the time to enjoy the entirety of the process, from your engagement right until you leave your reception. I plan and execute beautiful celebrations and memories for the modern romantic looking for a timeless, elegant wedding with a modern edge.
Where it all began
My love of Weddings began when I was around 7 and a bridesmaid in Greece for my mum’s cousin. The whole event was exciting, and the atmosphere was incredible. It was a fusion of Greek and English tradition. I remember the women from the English side wearing a collection of rainbow-coloured hats, the lovely Greek weather with bagpipes playing as we arrived at the Church, and Greek dancing. But one detail in particular has stuck with me inexplicably… the sugared almonds.
In Greece, it is tradition for guests to throw sugared almonds as the bride and groom walk around the altar. My sister and I found it so funny that we collected the almonds from the floor into our baskets for guests to continue so we could prolong this spectacle. This is why the almond is featured in my logo and business; it was the beginning.
Why I love what I do
I have always been a very creative person. I love seeing the ideas in my head become reality and immensely enjoy the process of how those ideas come alive. Creating memories for people is a real driver for me.
I have a first-class degree in International Hospitality Management and a wealth of experience in the event and hospitality industry, not just in Weddings but also events, conferences, exhibitions and concert & match day Hospitality. Across all the sectors, the client and guest reaction is the highlight of the job; I get a real buzz from a well turned out event.
One of the reasons I am so passionate about this job is the relationships I build along the way with my clients and suppliers. For me, this industry isn’t just about getting the job done; it’s about the process and making the time we spend together just as memorable as the day itself.
My Values
The values that I hold are extremely important to me personally, and as such I have embedded them into the culture of my business, and keep them at the forefront of my brain while I work.
Openness
To me it is vital that I am transparent with you as clients throughout the planning process, trust is of vital importance to me. I will never disclose information to third parties who do not need said information for wedding purposes. I will also be here for you throughout the planning process as a ear to listen to any ideas or worries you may carry.
DELICACY
The finer details, the personal touches, the little extras that sum you up as a couple. For me it is all about the little things in life, as well as the finishing touches to a wedding. It is something I am known for amongst my family and friends; remembering, honouring and making these little touches shine. I look forward to working with like minded couples who are design and detail driven, as you can rest assured this is a key factor for me in my planning style.
Family
Family is a big part of many wedding days. I love to learn about not only you both as a couple but also your family and what traditions you share with them. To me family and friends are a huge part of my life and I know that is the case with many of you, I want to ensure that we design an unforgettable day for all parties that will keep people talking about your wedding day for years to come. I will work with you to help to incorporate traditions or family in a way that is unique and special to you.
